The Mark 4 1-3x14mm CQ/T has been tested and approved for for such tactical sniper weapons as the M16 and the AR-15. The reticle has some features you simply won't find in similar scopes including an illuminated red dot sight with the ability to remain visible even if the scope batteries are dead and the flexibility of a variable 1x to 3x power riflescope that makes close and long range sniper shots more accurate and repeatable. There are eleven reticle illumination settings in all that will match any light condition and the AA batteries will hold their charge at medium setting for 600 hours or more. While the batteries are charged the Leupold Mark 4's reticle is illuminated in amber. When the batteries are dead or turned off the reticle is visible in black.

Their 1x setting makes is possible to easily keep both eyes open, increasing your reaction time to take the shot and provides fast target acquisition.
